Timeline Paul/Stephen discrepancy?

I'm wondering, on the timeline AD33 it shows ca AD33 Paul converts to Christianity and if you do a search for Stephen it shows his death at AD35. I'm not sure if the ca mentioned above has anything to do with the discrepancy or if this is something that needs to be changed?

Hi Mike, thanks for the response. If I didn't know of the discrepancy from studying the bible that this is not true, I might take it as true. This seems to me like is should be corrected and I do understand that this is a matter of opinion based on someone elses study of the scripture and history books. Anyway, thanks again! What we do know is that the death was before Paul's conversion, however, years for either are best guesses.

Yes, I understand that but it is still wrong on the timeline. It's still backwards. So, if the bible is the final authority then that's what we should go by regardless of a guess. We do know the bible states which happened first. If this is wrong on the timeline what else is wrong!

The timeline tool is intended as a comprehensive view of varying dating theories as presented across multiple resources; it is inclusive and descriptive of the resources currently tagged. It is not intended to posit its own theories for specific dates, but to present the possibilities with links to relevant information for each.

The more resources we tag (as we are currently doing) the more robust the timeline will be. In future, resources that present a later date for the conversion of Paul will necessitate the presence of a later timeline event for his conversion. The current data is a reflection of the resources we currently have tagged.

In order to clarify, I have added the subtitle "early" to the ca. 33AD date of Paul's conversion, as well as adding a "late" instance for his conversion (which should be included in an upcoming resource update).
