I know you can download your reading plan to the iphone, but i was wondering, is the iphone app also supposed to sync-back to the mother-ship what you've read, since i can't see anyway to 'Mark as Read' like you get on the PC L4.
cheers
yes, it automatically syncs back & marks it as read
I have two Bible reading plans and I read both of them (almost) exclusively on my iPod Touch. So most times, I just read & go back just to my reading plan to make sure it was marked as read. Once I see it as read on my iPod, I can launch Logos 4 & see it as read there also (it'll even be marked as read if I already have the desktop app already running)
mmmm, i notice that if you follow the hyperlinks within the text, so say OT -> NT -> Psalsm -> Prov. and then go back to the reading plan then it isn't marked as read, but if you then click the Prov. link from within the reading plan to goto the text and then go back to the reading plan it then shows up as read.
when your going through the reading plan, do you just follow the hyperlinks within the text?

I'm seeing the same thing for a multi section reading plan. Thanks for pointing out how to mark it read.
I think this is a bug in the app.
I have searched the forums to see if my problem has been resolved, but cannot seem to find anything, so here it is.
I created two Bible reading plans on L4 -- one for personal reading and one that I use for devotions with my wife. The personal one I use on my PC. No problems. However, the one that I use for devotions with my wife I use on my Ipod Touch. Here's the problem: when I mark it as read on the Ipod, it creates a whole new plan (exactly like the original) on L4. I can delete the repeated plan on L4, but it stays on the Ipod. Each time I mark a day's reading, it adds a new plan. Each new plan is sequentially numbered. I now have numerous identical Bible reading plans on the Ipod. I can't seem to find a way to stop this. I removed the Logos program from my Ipod and reinstalled it, but it came back with all the extra reading plans intact.
Does anyone have any suggestions? There doesn't seem to be a way to remove Bible reading plans from the Ipod itself, and removing them from L4 doesn't sync with the Ipod. I don't know where to go from here.
Let's celebrate the two year anniversary of this problem remaining unsolved. It seems that cross platform compatibility is not the one of the three main selling points that made us all chose this software. I bought this software for the amazing library and second because I could take it with me in my iPhone/iPad everywhere.
I started with the reading plans on my Mac and was doing great, but I love at night when I go to bed to read the Bible plans or any of your fine collection of which I have a plan for on my iPad. During the day, I love to read the plans when on break at work on my iPhone. Cross Platform sync is the cornerstone of this program after its extensive Library. It turns the program from an extensive reference to an everyday christian growth companion.
I have in my office an extensive library of knowledge books, which I keep for professional reference. I don't carry these in my iPhone or iPad because there no commitment to finish them or any plan. I guess, the same thing happens with your unsolved reading plans. I will keep the Logos Library at home for reference and carry other software that can handle the transition between platforms better on my iPhone and iPad.
Once again happy birthday on your unresolved issue. Please let me know when I can enjoy this software as a companion to my Christian growth.
In order for the syncing of reading plans to work properly Sync 2 must be implemented on the desktop side, it's the same thing with highlighting and notes. This is currently in beta testing with 4.5 so this is being worked on. Once 4.5 becomes a stable release this should work better. So they are working on syncing right now.
Blessings,
Philana

On 26 Oct 2011, a Logos developer posted => Reading plan sync status
We are aware of problems with reading plans syncing between iOS and Logos Mac/Windows. The sync problems are caused by the way data is synced between iOS and the desktop apps; it doesn't scale to the amount of data we are now processing. We have been in the process of rearchitecting and reimplementing the way we sync data for about a year so that we can handle our new scalability requirements. We are rolling out these changes, often referred to as Sync v2, over time. Logos Desktop 4.3 used Sync v2 for some things. Logos 4.5 will use it for more, but is not currently spec'd to include reading plans. We are aiming to use Sync v2 for reading plans by the end of the year. I recognize that these problems are a source of frustration. I feel bad about that. Our team is working very hard to make it right. For those of you willing to stick it out with us, I appreciate your graciousness. For those of you who are unable to use our tool because of this, I hope we can win you back in the near future. Dave

Hoping for stable Logos 4.5 release with corresponding mobile app updates so Sync v2 can reliably sync reading plans across platforms quickly.
Doing data replication well across platforms is technically challenging, which is compounded by customer base growing so more Logos users want their reading plans to sync quickly. By way of an analogy, Sync v2 should be similar to adding traffic lanes to congested highways.
Likewise looking forward to quickly syncing highlighting and notes cross platform.

Finally after two years and three months the problems has been resolved. Last night, I dusted off my Logos to do a search on healing and loss to minister a family and behold, my reading lists were sync'd. My booklist has grown exponentially and it's a great time to get started. I love reading at night and was looking forward to tonights reading, for tonight I'll use this software for a teaching on family and loss.
Again thanks for making this software as good as advertised, and as I call it a companion to my Christian growth. And now that one Logos software works as advertised, I can try another of your programs like the presentation one. ¡Dios les bendiga!
YIPEE!!! the syncing is now working. I first saw the correct title for my readng plan on my home page in the iPad app. I've read for 2 days now and have confirmed the desktop is current too. And the bonus is the syncing is really really quick.
The only notable quirk I see is if you delete your reading plan on the desktop, it will still show a default reading plan on the iPad. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing, but I was not expecting it given that I had deleted it. Same behaviour occurs if you delete the reading plan from the iPad app. It will show a default reading plan.
In any case I'm extremely grateful to the commitment shown by the logos development team to get this implemented and to get it implemented right!!!!
THANK YOU LOGOS!
