Dataset items don't work

I just purchased the Logos 5 Minimal Crossgrade. On the comparison page “clause search” and “timeline” are clearly listed as included in this package, but when I open Logos neither is available. I don’t know yet if I will have problems with other dataset items, but perhaps someone could help me with what I’ve found so far.

None of the dataset items should appear in your library. What you should see is the ability to use the program functions that are based on them. E.G. in a search you should know see 5 options - basic, Bible, clause, morphology and syntax. Under Tools in the toolbar you should see Bible Sense Lexicon ... etc.

Eddie, is indexing still going on? If so wait until it is finished and check again. Timeline is found under the Tools menu and Clause Search as an option on the Search panel.

If you go to the Logos 5 'About' dialog box you will find a lot of information there including on installed modules like 'Timeline' (see screenshot). It will also tell you the database name and date and time of last update of the dataset.

When I open Search I see 4 options, but Clause is not there. I opened 131 Christians Everyone Should Know then looked in the visual filter for Timeline, but its not there. Any ideas?

Can you copy/paste what you do have in that column (Click in in, press CRTL+A, then CTRL+C to copy). Can you turn on logging, load Logos, wait a few minutes, then close Logos, and upload your logs (see 'How to ask for help', below for instructions about Logs).

You shouldn't need to download that much data if you're installing over L4. But L5 should be available on DVD (there was a download/DVD option when you purchase a base package). If you need that option now, I would contact Customer Services.

On the other hand, how about a higher speed internet connection? These are cheaper than brick walls, and hurt a lot less.

Thanks for the post, Doc B. I can tell without asking that you don't live in the heart of the Ozarks like I do. I use Verizon wireless and it works much faster than a landline modem, but I get speeds 10 times as fast when I'm driving down the interstate - the brick wall does seem like a viable option right now.
