Logos 4 won't close in Windows 8

I updated to Windows 8 a couple of weeks ago. Logos 4 works the same as it did under Windows 7, but I'm not able to exit the program at all. The only way I can make Logos 4 go away is to restart Windows.

Am I doing something wrong? Is anyone else having this experience?

I'm not in a position to update to Logos 5, by the way, so I need to make Logos 4 work.

I should have added that, most of the time, the "X" (exit icon) is absent from Logos. In apps that are functioning properly, the "X" appears in the upper right corner of the window in which the app is running. But even when the "X" does appear in Logos 4, it's not responsive.

I should further add that, on my Windows 8 machine, the title bar doesn't even appear correctly in Logos 4. Ninety percent of the time, all that there is of the title bar is, in the left corner, the top one-eighth of Logos 4's Home, Library and Search (magnifying glass) icons, and, in the center, the name of the app itself. The name of the app appears against the background of my Windows wallpaper. There are no minimize, maximize or exit icons.

When Logos 4 wants to behave a little better, the title bar appears as it should, but the exit icon, while visible, isn't responsive. I *can* usually make the maximize icon respond through repeated, furious clicking, which makes others in the room think I'm having a nicotine fit.

But, to quote Sartre, "No Exit." At least not with Logos 4.

All my other apps appear to be working normally.

I haven't seen this problem, but you may be able to work around it by doing the following:

In the command box (to the right of the Tools menu), enter: set custom chrome to no

Does doing this fix the window title bar and exit buttons?

It was interesting to see that interface configuration commands can be issued via the command box.

All settings (from Program Settings) can be configured using the command box. (In general, the syntax is "set X to Y", where X and Y are usually the text you see displayed in the UI.) Additionally, some less common settings ("custom chrome", "accessibility", and others) don't appear in Program Settings but can be configured in the command box.
