The crashing error when attempting to download updated resources continues.

Here's what I posted last time:

I just updated today. The app crashes out on me when I go to "news"
and click on [downloaded] "10 resources to update." Error message: "The
application Bible (process com.logos.androidlogos) has stopped
    unexpectedly. Please try again.

Then I have to press "force close."

This happened with the previous version too.

    App info: Bible

    Device: HTC Explorer

    Android version 2.3.5

*** Any advice as to how to overcome this would be appreciated. If I uninstall then reinstall, will it go away? Can I do that without having to reload all of my downloaded resources again?

Similar experience: crashes while trying to update resources

Bible app Android 2.2 on Samsung Galaxy S

Says it has 3 resources to download but crashes when attempts to download them - seems to be simultaneously trying to check for updates

Seems to be spending a major amount of time tied up "Checking for updates..... "
(10 minutes and the wheel is still spinning)

It is still spinning after it says there a "3 Resources to update"

I would suspect that it is curently unable to take a break from the automated "Checking for updates..."
to allow the user to manual tap on the "Resources to update" line and update these resources without crashing.

If I leave it long enough it crashes on its own perhaps while trying to download the updated resources without user input.

After crashing (after being open about 10 minutes) while waiting for it to finish "Checking for updates...."  Android did report that "Bible" successfully downloaded an update to the NRSV (but no mention of the other two resources to be updated)

Further investigate after waiting for 20 plus minutes with Bible app open before switching to News and then touching nothing until "Checking for updates.... " was finished.

When trying to update the three resources got the same "stopped responding" as earlier but instead of "force close", I elected to choose to "report".

In doing that instead of forcing close, the downloads continued and the program did NOT stop.

Could this be in any way similar to the Logos 5 (and previously 4) "Indexer" crash in Windows once it finds that new resources are available to be added ?

Just to note: I did a fresh reinstall of the app (for another reason). The crash problem described above persists.

Highlighting still not displaying correctly.  "Background" attribute colors do not display.  "Borders & Lines", "Text Effects" and other attributes display correctly.  The problem is that most highlighting consists only of background color and not the other attributes.

Tapping a verse I know to be highlighted, I get an option to "Edit Highlight" and when going into the editing dialog, it shows that the color is already selected, but it just doesn't display on the screen.

Hi, can I add my name to this list of people it doesn't work for?

I have Logos 4 and also the latest Android app on my Nexus 7.  Any highlights I add on my computer (my own highlighting palette) NEVER show up on my Android tablet (although they work fine on my iPhone app).

Would be great to see a fix for this!!

    Hi Sean,

Would you be willing to switch to our beta channel? We have worked on that specific issue in 2.2.9, and believe we have fixed it (or are heading in the right direction). http://community.logos.com/forums/t/63024.aspx We don't have a device that can reproduce your issue, so we would appreciate it if you could let us know if we fixed it, or still need to work more on it.
