Font problem: missing characters?

I have a reading plan for Good News of Great Joy (Desiring God), and I noticed today at the close of my reading in the reading plan indicator (not in the text of the book): "Mary█s Magnificent God (Luke 1:46█55)". Rather than the solid rectangles, it had outline rectangles as if something in a font is missing, specifically a curly apostrophe and an en dash.

I'm on a PC less than a year old with a new, wipe-clean installation of Windows 8, and, of course, a fresh installation of Logos. So I would have thought that fonts would all be in place.

Anyone know how to place the missing characters/font?

Go to tool/program settings and tell us what fonts you have listed as Default Font. If you have customized the setting you may consider changing to one of the default fonts and see if that fixes your problem.

Yes, I had modified the fonts somewhat.

But after I click Restore Defaults (for everything), it's the same.

My Default Font is the Default (whatever that is).
