Delay to display Highlights and Notes

It is now taking 15 seconds to add a highlight to my NASB (locally downloaded to my iPad2), and I've done some investigating:

1) The size of the Note file appears to be irrelevant. I can use a Note file with many notes, a few notes, or a new Note file... same result - 15 seconds (with a timer).

2) The number of notes attached to the resource appears to be very relevant. I have many highlights and notes (by selection and reference) for this bible and 20+ note files. If I highlight or make a note in another (downloaded) bible that has few highlights and notes, the delay is less than 2 seconds from pressing Done until the display is updated, no matter which note file I use.

3) As long as the resource has been downloaded, it doesn't seem to matter if my iPad is online or offline. I have used it with wifi, where wifi is not available, and with wifi disabled... still 15 seconds. This indicates to me I am not using the Logos servers while they are busy and the delay is within the iPad application.

4) The delay has grown over the past several weeks from 5-10 seconds to 15 seconds now.

I have the latest ios (6.01) and the latest Logos for iPad (3.1.1). I have removed and re-downloaded the NASB, yet the delay is still there.

My fear is how quickly and how long the delay will grow to as I continue to use my bible.

Logos Developers: Does this make sense? Any solution or way I can reduce the time for the highlight to update?

This is a known issue, and has actually become much better. There was a time where I had delays of more than a minute. The size of the note file IS relevant... But as you discovered, so is the number of notes within a particular resource. Since the mobile app can't turn off individual note files, this can be a fairly difficult issue.
