Missing full page interlinear on new Windows 7 installation

I have just installed my Scholars Logos 4 on a brand new laptop with Windows 7. The full page interlinear feature of the ESV and NAS are not working. For both versions the "Display" button does not appear on the bar at the above the text. The button to open and close the interlinear panel at the bottom does work, at least for Greek in the NT.

4.6a SR-4 (4.61.0.3380) installed. I have the same version installed on my desktop Windows 7 with no problems. I verified that it worked OK on SR-3 and then updated it with no problems. My XP laptop is working with SR-2 again with the "Display" button present.

I checked the Wiki. They did not mention any setting that I would have to use. I did follow their suggestion and performed a Bible Word Study and verified that ESV and NAS84 are listed as interlinears. I'm hoping that someone will suggest a simple fix.

Any ideas?

Is it possible you haven't given Logos enough time to fully index?

The install was the prior day. The icon in the tray had been gone for several hours after reporting progress that made me believe it was done indexing.

On my XP laptop, where the "Display" button works, the dates of the resource are:

2011-12-20

respectively. So it appears that the version on this newly installed Logos 4 is a few years old.

What did you install from on the most recent install? If that disc, this would be why, and can you type update resources into your command bar and hit the enter key? Then wait for message Checking for updates to go away. It should find and start downloading resource updates. If there are updates after the reboot try the interlinear again.

I did install using my original Scholars disk. But it did download at least 8 GB of data so I thought it had procured updates of everything.

Following your suggestion I typed "Update resources". It displayed the "Checking for updates . . ." next to the sync "spinner". After about a minute it announced "No updates found" in the tool bar. I restarted Logos 4 just in case, but to no avail.

Well, there are clearly updates to those resources. Can you re-bool and attempt the process one more time? If that does not do it please give us a call at your convenience and indicate the issue is your ESV files are not updating properly.

Hi Tommy,

I called Logos tech support yesterday and was connected to Scott M. in your department. Checking out various directories on my machine it became evident that there were files present which had come from the prior install. A technician at my company had migrated my data using Microsoft Easy Transfer. This apparently picked up data from the XP system. We concluded that this vestigial information had succeeded in confusing the new install performed on the Windows 7 version. Perhaps installing from an old Scholars disk did not help the situation.

Scott gave me a procedure to update my ESV, but there was no way to tell which of the other resources may also need to be updated. So the next step is for me to perform a full uninstall followed by an install. Hopefully, this will clean it up.
