This (together with Daf Yomi) is a perfect example of why lectionary and reading list functions need to be combined to some degree, It would be very helpful to be able to mark passages as read while continuing through by date with the rest of the group. For the Year of Faith I have kludged a Reading List to serve as a check-off list for reading footnoted and supplemental materials.
What would be ideal would be lectionaries that can both have items marked as read and supplemental materials added e.g. link a lectionary-based commentary into a single lectionary/reading list or link selections The Text This Week in manually. It is also necessary, as noted elsewhere, to support multiple lectionaries just as you support multiple reading lists.
