What works the best? What should I get? The netbook I currently have is not large enough or fast enough (I have logos on my desktop and it works fine, but I want to be able to take it with me). Any suggestions?
Hi Lisa
There is a similar thread discussing this at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/61511.aspx
You might find that helpful
In your subject field you refer to an iPad. Please be aware that the iPad app is a cut-down version and doesn't provide full Logos 5 functionality, although it is very useful as a portable reader and study tool.

Hi Lisa - are you a Mac user? If you are many people have reported very good usage of Logos 5 with the MacBook Air which is a very light and portable computing platform. They are a great machine.
If you are a Windows user I will let one of the Windows users give you advice on hardware.
I currently have windows computers in my office, but am not adverse to getting a Mac laptop if that is the best solution.
Thanks
To add a little more… One of the best things you can do to get good performance in Logos is to get a device with an SSD (solid state) hard drive. Traditional hard drives have spinning platters which create a bottleneck in performance… the tradeoff, however, is 1) price and 2) storage capacity. I would recommend getting at least 128 GB drive.
I am a Mac fan, but you should get what you are comfortable with. You might want to experiment with Win 8 and Mac OS X somewhere. Both will be a big change from previous versions of windows.
I can run Logos 5 very easily on my MacBook Air. [:D]

What features of Logos do you want to take with you? I like my iPad to take with me to have my resources, but do my "heavy lifting" at my desk.
While I doubt this would be my cup of tea, you might check out this article: http://www.hanselman.com/blog/MyNextPCWillBeAnUltrabook.aspx
Scott is a power user's power user, and if he says an UltraBook will work for him, I tend to believe him. (Note that he's not referring to Logos specifically, rather other applications and usage scenarios that have high-end needs.) I'd still get at least 8GB and a solid state drive. This option lets you run full Logos 5 in a form factor that's not quite as small and light as an iPad.
