Interesting use for "My Content" searches.

I just realized something pretty useful for "my content"; adding things from the web!

I had cut/pasted a few things from the web into Logos notes, primarily so I wouldn't lose them....but today I realized that i can gather (at least text based) resources from the web and make them searchable in my library...

that's pretty useful....

That's pretty cool! If its a really good source consider adding it to the topic on topic.logos.com. This will have it come up in other people's searches as well.

If it's for a particular topic/subject, then create/edit a topic @ topics.logos.com that way it can be accessed by all Logos users

Actually Bob put them in when he created the reading list for the topic "Magnificat". Open up the reading list>select the topic "Magnificat">select "Edit" at the top> This will take you to the topic page http://topics.logos.com/Magnificat Click edit towards the upper right. go down to the section with the heading "!!!! Web Links">Use the other links as the template for the link you want to add. Make sure to add the *[space] in front of it.

Now whenever anybody does a Basic search for "magnificat" the link you added will be visible to them in the "topic" section.

I think they do review them. And if something inappropriate is added I as a user, and you as a user, can delete it. Of course that has dangers too :-)

EDIT: Bob has said that they are planning to have some kind of review procedure. It would be an "every once in a while we'll check the updates" sorta thing. I guess how often is dependent upon how much use the topics get.
