Are stable releases not sent on the beta update channel?

I have 5.0a Service Release 1 and I am on the beta channel. I entered Update Now after 5.0a Service Release 2 was announced, but it says no update is available. In order to get the new update I had to change to the default update channel.

Do I have to change to the default update channel to get all official updates or are they supposed to also go to people on the beta channel? It seems strange that beta testers would not get the final updates when they are finished.

Unless they are beta updates. I agree that it is strange, but that is the way things work with Logos updates.

It requires specific action to ship stable updates to the beta channel. Generally we don't perform that action because there are beta updates in the works anyway. Of course, things happen and schedules can change, so that isn't always apparent.
