I am working on a study of God names and want to search for His names by their transliterations. For example, YHWH or Yahweh.
Is there a way to do this on Logos 5?
Blessings -
Tam
Hi Tamara
If you want to do a straight search for the Tetragrammaton, the four letter YHWH name of God in the OT you can do a Bible search, in the search field type
h:YHWH
the 'h:' tells Logos to do Hebrew transliteration so you can type in English characters 'YHWH' and it will automatically convert it into Hebrew characters for you. You can get it to search an English Bible (with integrated Reverse Interlinear like ESV) because Logos will search the original language text. If you have also a Hebrew Bible text like the Lexham Hebrew Bible you can see it alongside.
The query returns 6,720 results for me. Of course you can then also restrict this by Bible book etc.
