Hello,
Is there a way to display all my highlighting based on color, say in a search window?
I don't think so Pat. You can sort by note color, but sort by highlighting style isn't an option.
Yes you can, but a caution: Search collections, not the entire Library. If you are only seeking to find text with a specific highlight, be prepared for a lengthy operation. In the Find field you need to type *, this is the wildcard search operator. The screenshot below shows you how to select the highlight you seek. Believe that the selection will only include highlights used in the selected collection.
Does this provide the information you need?
I will reply to my own post in order to include a caveat: Although the method described above should work, as a practical matter, it will not. The search illustrated by the screenshot never completed. When I tried one with a much smaller collection, it also never finished.
Jack did you enter a search string? I believe you won't get any results without a search string, it won't search on the highlight alone.
You are correct: No search string; no result. However, I did enter the wildcard operator *, but this search always takes forever and a day.
Just repeated the search with "a,e,i,o,u" and found results in in my Carson collection in less than 5 seconds. Such a search of the entire library still takes much too long to be useful.
