Hey everyone,

I have a few questions below:

When I perform a greek Biblical word search on Ipad, Louw Nida and the DBL Greek will display a nearly identical definition, but the TDNT does not show up. I use my Ipad more and more for reading and study, and the app is a bit limited when it comes to word study results. Will Vines come up in the results on Ipad Bible word study?
(I currently do not have BDAG) I know that BDAG is also a resource that would potentially show up in the Ipad results if I own it, but I am not currently in ministry, and I can't justify the expense at this point. Should I save my money for BDAG and pass on this dictionary? I do plan on working with Biblical Greek for the next few years, I am just waiting till I need it. In light of that, would the Vine's dictionary be useful to me at all?
What are the odds that Logos will give away BDAG on December 26th as their free gift to us?

Vines seems to be an attempt to provide original language info to the English reader. It is aware of the Papyri, but I wouldn't think of using it in any kind of academic setting. If you are serious about this as it sounds, take the time to learn Greek properly so you can use standard tools.

I can access Vine's on Biblia.com, not sure if that helps for Ipad, but I think it will show up also since it is on Biblia.

Kittel's TDNT is available on the iPad. I wonder if this is an issue of prioritizing. Try making Kittel a higher priority resource than the ones that do show up, and see if that helps.

I don't think prioritization is currently available in the Bible Word Study for mobile (yet).

Hey Nick, I would say that the odds of Logos giving away BDAG would have a worse chance than a snowball surving Death Valley in July. But one could hope[:D] Save your money because BDAG is worth having.

Vines is pretty elementary but for less than $10 you could give it a try. You have 30 days to ask for a refund.
