I purchased this during pre-publication and the collection was released on 12/5/2012. But the only portion available is Abraham. When will Jacob and Joseph be available?
This is my question, too. It was advertised as being a 6-month series of material. I will be greatly dissatisfied if that 6 months is broken up because of too great a delay. I ordered on the assumption that Jacob will be released before I get through the 8 weeks of Abraham. Can anyone from Logos confirm whether this is true?
They seem to be doing a number of bundles now where you have to pay the full pre-pub price up front but the sets are then released over time.
I am familar with this approach and so had no expectation of all three being released. And there was a disclaimer on the page saying exactly that:
When you order the Patriarchs Collection Complete Church Curriculum, Abraham: Following God’s Promise will immediately download. The remaining studies, Jacob: Discerning God’s Promise and Joseph: Understanding God’s Purpose will download automatically as they are released. (The lives of Isaac and Joseph’s brothers are covered in the Abraham and Jacob volumes.)
Understand your frustration and not convinced this is good practice by them to charge the full amount and then release the material to users at some point in the future without giving any sort of timetable to hold them to a level of accountability. They have taken the customers money with no indication of when they will complete the contract.
I understand the disclaimer on the product page and I'm willing to wait for the 2nd two parts of the collection. However it also states that this is a 6-month curriculum. This sure makes it sound like they will be each released in time to be used one after the other without any gaps. If this is not what the product page means, then Logos is using deceptive advertising practices which is not very becoming of a company dedicated to serving Christ. I would hope someone from Logos can post and give me the reassurance that they will deliver as advertised.
Both of the remaining volumes are currently in production and we plan on releasing them as soon as they are completed in early 2013.
Understand what you are saying about six months but never took that as relating to release of the product. Hopefully Mike's post means you will be able to use this material as you have planned.
