Does full-time logging affect performance in Logos 5?

I ran into a start-up problem this morning that eventually resolved itself. I'm thinking about enabling full-time logging, as a pre-emptive strike again future problems. But my system is about at its limits for comfortable performance as it is. Am I asking for more trouble by enabling full-time logging?

My experience is the same as John's. I tried it both ways, and could not see a difference between Logging enabled or disabled.
