I am reading books on my ipad and would like to highlight things and tag them with bible references so I can have it come up with searches on that text. Is this possible?
You can't "Tag" highlights… but highlights are actually notes. You CAN add scripture references within the note itself. Do you have a system for your highlight note files? Have you ever worked with them?
You can't tag highlights but you can add a note with the bible reference. This should then come up in My Content section of search and passage guide I believe, but have not specifically tried it out.
Thanks for the input. I am working out a system now.... I don't want my research on a passage/topic to go unused in the future. How do you use them?
Sorry Mike – when I said a system, I meant for the highlight note files, not for individual notes. As for highlight note files: I create a note file for EVERY book or translation I highlight in. Smaller note files makes it easier to sync with mobile. It is also easier to work with the note files if you need to find something. I do also have a few "thematic" note files. For example, I have one for song ideas. When I am reading a passage, I add song ideas when they come to me. Later, if I am speaking on a passage, I have a jump start for the creative elements of the service.
