We've just updated title metadata for the Early Church Fathers series.
1. The sub-titles have been moved from the "alternate title" field into the main title. The purpose of this is to make it easier to tell the volumes apart in Library and in search results.
2. To make some room for the sub-titles, the series and volume information in the titles has been compressed. Roman numerals have been changed to arabic numerals, and "First Series" and "Second Series" in NPNF have been shorted to "1" and "2". So, "Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers First Series, Volume 1" is now "Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers 1.1: The Confessions and Letters of St. Augustin with a Sketch of His Life and Work."
3. Abbreviated titles have been adjusted a bit to use periods instead of colons. This will make it easier to quickly look up a particular volume in Library (since Library uses the colon for limiting the search to a particular field). So, "NPNF1:1" is now "NPNF1.1".
These changes have already been pushed out via our metadata service for the Protestant Editions. Updates for the Catholic Editions should be out this afternoon.
Hopefully, these changes make the series a little easier to navigate. Note that if you have collection rules based on these titles, you may need to make adjustments.
