problem with download?

hi there, I have purchased and downloaded the Gold package, but I can't find any new resources in my Logos library. Right now there are only 7 resources - nothing from the Gold package has been added. It's almost 10 hours ago when I downloaded it. I contacted Logos 9 hours ago but haven't heard back from them yet. It's very frustrating, cos I really need the resources to get some work done. Can anyone help?

Welcome Siu,

If you are able to use Logos 5 apart from limited resources the only thing you can do is restart Logos. If nothing happens go to the Command box (top of screen) & type:-

update resources

If there is no response then you will have to wait for Logos as it would indicate your resource licence is not up to date.

thanks Dave! I tried and got a little box in the right bottom corner saying that "updates were found and will be downloaded automatically." But that was about 9 hours ago. I tried logging out and then logging in, but nothing happened.

Is there a Logos icon in the Windows Notification area (on right side of Taskbar)? Click on it & indexing should happen.

Otherwise enable logging and retry the update resources command. Then upload logos.log as per the wiki.

Are you running on Windows or Mac?

I have seen a couple of Mac users reporting a similar problem.

They were advised to contact Logos Customer services but, so far, I haven't seen any outcome.

I am running on Mac... maybe that's why.

It only seems to be affecting a small number of people - even assuming it is the same problem

I would need to see the Indexer logs during the download to see if there was a problem or not. Can you cancel the download, set up logging and restart Logos 5? If it doesn't automatically start downloading, type update resources into your command bar, and hit the enter button. That will force Logos to check for updates to your library, and automatically download them. After doing this give it some time, observe how much there is to download, and the progress percentage of the downloaded. If it sticks at a certain percentage for 30+min, then attach the log files here. Otherwise, be sure to not let the computer die, be shut off, or put to sleep (including the lid shut if a laptop) during download and index.
