I'm working with Matt 2:10, ἰδόντες δὲ τὸν ἀστέρα ἐχάρησαν χαρὰν μεγάλην σφόδρα. I'm interested in what I think is a Semitism, the use of the root χαιρω in both the verb and the accusative noun. The attached syntax search finds a total of 17 hits in the NT. I then asked, what if something comes between the verb and the noun....so I tried to insert Anything between the two words. The search just runs and runs....no results returned.
Two questions: Is there a way to do this as a morphological search? It would allow me to work into the LXX which would be very helpful. Also, how can I structure the syntax search to allow for intervening words?
Thanks for your help.
