NT genre coding?

Has anyone learned anything about the mysterious Mackie NT genre types (accessible through the Passage Guide)? My Google search turns up not much more than questions in these forums, no answers.

Is there a way to construct a NT search using genre types, similar to the AF "Segment" genres for the OT?

The last I saw was

Bob Pritchett Aug 30 2011">Tooman and Mackie are the sources. :-) We asked them to do the analyses, and they did. I believe they each wrote an introductory/explanatory document, which I thought we'd shipped in the software, but maybe not. I'll try to hunt it down.

Yep. fgh has singularly located the sole piece of information available to the human race (and the animals as well, which the NT frequently includes, so better not to forget them also).

I've spent some time mathematically seeing whether they attribute anything that other Logos databases don't similarly attribute (esp the OT). I couldn't see anything. Maybe as a pastor, one could work it into their sermon since it does sound pretty impressive.

Searches in the Help box for "genre," "Mackie" and "Tooman" turn up nothing. The same searches in the wiki turn up references to AF OT genres, and a tantalizing reference to "new!" NT genre coding in Logos 3.0, but nothing else. Email has been sent.

The analysis was done to be integrated into the software; there's no other documentation or book connected to it.

I'm sorry it isn't searchable yet -- that's something we plan to offer in the future. I can't promise a date yet, though.
