I have recently rebuilt my computer, putting in a new motherboard, processor, video card and new hard drives (2 x 640GB). I have also upgraded to Windows 7, 64-bit edition. I did a fresh install and am presently re-installing all of my software.
I have LOGOS, version 3.0f (also...10,000 sermon illustrations, ver 2; AMG Bible Essentials; Library Upgrade ND; NAS Electronic Bible Library; Nelsons Ultimate CD-ROM [LDLS 3.0]; NIV; Pastor's Library; Preacher's Commentary [LDLS 3.0]; Scholar's Library [OC]; The Essential IVP Reference Collection, ver. 2.0; and the WEA Theological Resource Library, ver. 3). Here are my questions:
(1) If I upgrade to LOGOS 4, do I reinstall all of version 3 plus resources and install L4 overtop...or do I do a fresh install after receiving the DVD from LOGOS?
(2) Will all of my resources listed above automatically convert to L4 after the intall or do I need to get version 4 software from LOGOS and reinstall?
(3) The recommended upgrade, Scholar's Silver, is over $700 which I definitely cannot afford right now. I am a bit confused as to why the L4 upgrade to the package I have right now is $127.50. I see they have added more books than I initially had with my Scholar's version 3. Will you ever offer L4 as a free or lower cost upgrade to L3 owners? I am assuming that the $127.50 is for the additional books that did not come with my L3 software, is that correct? Will you ever offer a L4 upgrade for just the package I have presently free or at lower cost?
(4) I see that Morris Proctor is now starting to teach the L4 software at his workshops. Will he ever come to the Chicago area? I have never seen a Camp Logos offered here. Certainly with Trinity Seminary, Wheaton College and all of the Christian organizations based out of Chicago, you must have a user base here that would be large enough to merit a Camp Logos or two or thee in the greater Chicago area (I am in the western subburbs).
Well, that's probably good enough to start off with. Thanks to any and all who will weigh in to my posting. I look forward to your answers and to further dialog. Blessings
