Dear Simon:
If you come back soon to read this you might wish to separate some sections of your email. Spell out part of that email address so that it will not be harvested by spam-bots. ie "at" & "dot" would help to protect you. Simon etc at with actual spaces. at rawlinson-hunter dot com etc.
People needing to legitamately email you should be able to figure out such a "code."
Regards

Welcome [:D]
Concur email address is not needed in a forum post, using the forum editor, can click more, then edit so can delete email address. From your Logos.com account, Logos has your email. Personally prefer to reply to forum discussions. Also forum threads have follower option so any reply to a thread is emailed.
The error log show a dynamic link library is not loading: Libronix.DigitalLibrary.Logos.dll that resides in the Logos5 \ System folder on Windows. Wonder about repairing Logos 5 installation ? Control Panel => Programs & Features => Logos Bible Software 5 (right click => repair)
Keep Smiling [:)]
Simon,
1. To avoid data mining of your email please edit (click More then Edit) your post and remove it.
2. There is a specific Logos 5 forum for problems
3. A description of what have you done is needed. Has indexing completed?
For the moment I can only suggest you
Thanks - I have deleted email wth apologies. Thanks for the advice but nobe has worked. The problem arose spontaneously - updating ITunes was the only other activity. The icon, when clicked on, brings up the rectangular Logos box but it will not then open and that vanishes after a few seconds. I have tried repair but to no effect. I cannot trace the libronix file referred to. No indexing is happening.

Simon, have you been able to turn on "logging"? That is probably the only way to know exactly.
I had a similar issue on my set-up and through the "logs" was able to trace the Libronix re-lated crash back to a specific database that needed to be re-built.
This is the "enable logging" file-- somewhere on these forums
http://community.logos.com/forums/p/59359/422589.aspx#422589
there are instructions on how and where to install it.
0218.EnableLogging.zip
ps. Dave can be a wonderful help to you as you answer him/follow his directions, etc!
All the best.
I cannot trace the libronix file referred to.
It needs to be deleted before the repair will work. Can you see it in the \System folder? You may have to allow viewing of hidden files and folders in the Folder Options of Control Panel.
