Could someone on windows clarify how dependent regular usage is for L5 and the internet. (I.E., How crippled are the new L5 features if you need to run the app in offline mode 50% of the time.)
Thanks
I'm not on windows, but I think the answer is going to be "it's not a problem."
If you want to sync with portable devices, obviously you will need an internet connection. Most features (for L5, not mobile) don't require an internet connection for regular usage.

I guess some exceptions to this would be:
So I agree with Alabama's "most features" assessment but thought it would pointing out some of the ones that wouldn't work - and aware that many people would consider these a good thing!
In essence then the dependency is really no different than L4. That's good to know.
Thanks Guys. [:D]

I think you're right and other exceptions would be the Community Notes feature and sharing, as well as reporting typos.
These (as well as the ones in your second to fourth bullet) are not new to L5 and are internet dependencies of the current L4 release as well.
Well, my current experience is that Logos 5 crashes soon after startup if it does not have an internet connection.
See: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/62647.aspx
So if you plan a quiet retreat without an internet connection, make first sure that you can actually run Logos 5.
I hope this will soon be fixed.
