It's merge feature will corrupt your Index when you download resources!
EDIT: 1. Mine was corrupted after the first small download to an Index which had just seen a FULL re-index!
2. You can only get this Beta download from the PC Beta Forum!
Help me understand this. I don't think I've seen this with Beta2 although I had a hard time getting Beta2 indexed at all. Finally copied my SR-7 index over top of the Beta 2 one.
The merge index is defective. If you purchase too many new books, the merge index is automatically applied. This happened to me a few days ago and I had to reindex the entire index. Since we cannot control when this happens and if it happens it will corrupt the index, hence wait for beta 3.

And I remain stunned that we were not informed of such a significant "known bug."
And I think it would be nice (reasonable, proper, important, imperative), that since there is a B3 in which it is fixed and this is such a significant "known bug" that they release it right away.
The effect is subtle - but you get inaccurate results from searches.
HMMM. I hadn't used the Beta for a few days, however just checked it. The first thing that happened was a message saying that the indexer has stopped functioning properly and was closed down. I definitely seem to have missing resources and have a notice that 'some search results may be missing or incorrect while you library is being indexed', which it isn't.
I guess this is a symptom of this issue?
Not one we've seen before, but I would wait until Beta 3 before attempting a re-index.
With large resource downloads being reported, please remember the warnings about indexing and waiting for B3!

Don't click on Merge Index where-ever you might see it. i typically see it when i do a search under the heading of New Resources.
FYI, if you have too many supplemental indexes, then L4 Beta 2 will automatically merge your indexes. They really need to drop Beta 3.

I have Automatically Download Updates = NO. I'm not going to permit a download for B2 - you have no control with the indexing.
EDIT: if a download starts then Cancel it, switch Auto Download to NO and wait.
