Could someone give an example of how the BIBLE SENSE LEXICON tool would be useful? I am not really understanding what this tool does.
Bill, here's a set of references that may help:-
Someone posted these instructions and I see that in the interlinear (way at the bottom in the picture) you can see after Louw the word "Sense" - Now, how do I bring this up on my interlinear? I go to the display tab and is not giving me the "Sense" option only the Lemma, Manuscript, Strongs, Morph, etc. but no "Sense" option. Is there something I'm doing wrong?:
Also on these other instructions in opening the BSL in a Bible Word Study I see in the picture that there is a tab that says "Senses." My BWS doesn't have that. I have Bronze and I also purchased the Minimal Crossgrade because I was told I would have full access to ALL the features in Logos 5. Now I can open the Bible Sense Lexicon if I go to the Tools Menu, but I cannot open it in the way these instructions say because I'm not given an option. How can I get it to display the way it does in these pictures?

The Sense information is only available in the ribbon not the full Interlinear display

The Senses section doesn't appear if you are carrying out a BWS on a non-original language word - for example if you are just working against the English as opposed to the lemma.
So, for example, it won't appear when working on a word from the NIV Old Testament (which doesn't have RI capability yet).

Thanks for lifting up this thread -- good workarounds from Sean Boisen, and I love the humor at the end!
Thanks. That was helpful. I was not aware that SENSES was available on the Bible Word Study.
But I have a question: would the Bible Sense Lexicon be helpful if one were studying the differences in the various Greek words for "GOOD"?

I'm using the NKJV which has interlinear on both OT and NT What verse are you working against? I'm working on Romans 6:23 Which word are you using? Sin is the word Are you selecting the "Selection" or the lemma? Selection
Now you mention that it should appear on the ribbon, but it doesn't. So I don't know. There was an instance but couldn't catch it, when in BWS the SENSE came up along with root and others but not sure how it happened, after that back to normal, not seeing the sense option.

Are you selecting the "Selection" or the lemma? Selection
This is the issue. Choosing selection asks the BWS to operate on the English word and Senses operates against the underlying original language. Choose lemma (make sure to scroll down to the lemma for sin as opposed to the definite article on this particular word) and you will be fine.
Now you mention that it should appear on the ribbon, but it doesn't.
Right-click on the left-most end of the ribbon and ensure Sense is selected
Thanks, Graham! Got it now! Phew!!! Had me worried there for a minute...[8-|]
