Searching while typing in the FIND field.

I would love for this to be turned off. When I type in the find field, the software starts search after each letter I type and it slows down considerably. I would love for the searching not to begin in the FIND FIELD until I press enter after typing the entire word that I am looking for.

A suggestion...THANKS!

This is like in Adobe Reader. I like it - kind of like the old speed search. But, it doesn't slow my machine - I know I'm one of those!

Surprisingly, I haven't found it to be slow or inconvenient.

I can appreciate those who like this, but I would like an option if possible. When I start typing into the field it starts jumping all around and will only let me enter a letter one at a time until it finds a suitable match for what I have already typed. Maybe there is something wrong with what I am doing.

Many people (me included) find this incremental search feature incredibly useful: you get immediate feedback on the results of what you're doing, including (in some contexts) seeing what your options are for additional letters to enter.

Can you say a little more about the problems you're having? Is this in the context of a book, where it moves you to the next matching position? Or in the Search dialog, where you get a drop-down menu of terms? Would you say your computer has adequate horsepower for Logos 4 in general?
