Logos for iPhone
I'm disappointed with the iPhone version of Logos. I find other companies software much more valuable. There's no highlighting, no notes, no bookmarks. I currently find it very unuseful. Please fix these problems soon.

Having just done a review of iPhone bible apps not long ago, I have seen and played iwth nearly every iPhone bible app that I could get for free or very small price. It was almost all of the one sthat show up in the top 200 if you search the app store for bible.
There are those that are small guys, have a few translations but not meant to be real serious Bible study tools.
There are those that only work with online books and for that reason are often rated low.
There is then a category by itself. These are the apps with a large library, great tools for serious bible study, but also great tools if you just want to read a passage at church or for devotions. Right now there are three of them. The two best are Mantis and Olive Tree. Laridian is the third in this category and only about a month older than Logos.
Sadly, due to poor decisions by the dev. team, it cannot be put next to these. I want to and it could become one of these last category apps because it has a large library and could be used to do serious bible study. But it lacks the most important trait - off line reading. And it also is not usable as a simple tool for basic bible reading because you cannot add highlight/sermon notes.
So Logos I would suggest that you make the following improvements and if you do, you will have THE BEST APP AVAILABLE BAR NONE!
- Off line reading
- Note taking
- Highlighting
- Full library access

Agreed.
One of the reasons I upgraded immediately to Logos 4 was because of the hype of the Ipod Touch app. I was very excited to have my library with me in my pocket.
Yet, here we are, a month after the release. And the app is fairly useless to me because they still haven't gotten the licenses for some of the most basic and commonly used books (NIV, BDAG, Book of Concord) etc.
I don't regret getting Logos 4, because I really enjoy the program. I think it's a huge improvement. But I am quite honestly very disappointed in the Ipod app (especially going into it thinking I'd have access to my whole library, only to find out I have access to a very small part of my library, and on top of that only having access to my books when I am connected to wi-fi.)
I was very, very excited when the Ipod app was announced and built up as this incredibly useful app (excited enough to purchase Logos 4 the day it came out), but as of this point, it's a program that is more or less useless to me.

Bookmarks have been in since the first version. They're called favorites in Logos terms.

You are correct sir. I edited my post to correct for my mistake in saying it was not there.
But that is a small thing compared to the others. Looking forward to much improvement.
EDIT: I just tested this feature and using the latest beta build it does not work. I added a favorite to Romans 3:23 using in the ESV and then clicked on the sync button. I then opened the app on my iphone and went to favorites. It says downloading and then lists no favorites.
I will post about this in the Beta group too, because it may just be a beta failure. I'd like to hear if someone who is not using the latest beta but rather sr7 has the same problem.

I agree. It is a big disappointment to me too. Especially the promo tag-line: "Bible Study on the Go" - not only I upgrade immediately to Logos 4 but I also bought iPod touch mainly to use this feature not knowing that I must always be online to do that and even then I cannot access my TNIV and NIV versions of the Bible.
Have alerted my friends not to do what I have done until some of the basic functions like offline usage etc can be done. Looks like I will revert to Olive tree for the time being.

Thanks, Kevin, for a good summary of the issues (by the way, I keep track of your comments via Twitter and greatly appreciate the good insight you are sharing with us). It seems the iPhone app was released way too early with far too much work (and planning) still to be done.

I seem to remember Bob P saying they were coming soon.
I know they are working now on fixing some bugs and getting offline working really well.

What is the size of the Logos app? I can't afford the subscription costs for an iphone, but I might be able to get an ipod touch.
(Along with that, do you think 8gb would be enough, or would 32gb be a wiser purchase? 64gb is out of range.)

The actual app itself doesn't take up much room, so if you're going to use this in its "online" mode in wifi zones, then the 8GB would be ample. (I had about 1GB left on my iPhone when I installed it and it runs fine.) However, if you want offline reading then you'll need more space, depending on how many books you intend to d/l. I think I saw in another thread that the Platinum resources came to about 16GB, though bear in mind not all resources are iPhone enabled and so there would be less space requirement.
