Bible Word Study

One of my favorite Logos screens is the Bible Word Study circle where I can write any word from the scriptures and it shows me how frequently that word is translated from various Hebrew words (or Greek ones). It shows it as a frequency circle. How do I open this screen up in my iPhone Logos app? or Vyrso?

Best,

Gregorio

In the Logos app (not Vyrso) press and hold on a word, select "look up" from the popup menu and then "Bible word study"

I am having an issue with this feature, it defaults to the dictionary if the word can be found. If the word does not exist within the dictionary then, and only then, do I have the option of selecting 'Bible Word Study'.

I am not sure I understand. Are you referring to the iPhone/iPad application? If so any time I select 'Look Up' when I do a long hold and a release on a word I have the option to select a Bible Word Study.

If you are talking about the computer version of Logos 4 or 5 a double click opens a dictionary while a right click opens a panel where you can select either the Selection tab or the Lemma tab and get to the Bible Word Study tool.

Brockota — what you are describing sounds to me like 1) you are selecting a word in a non reverse interlinear resource or 2) you are not connected to the Internet. If you think this is incorrect, please create a new thread and include screen shots so that we can help you troubleshoot.

Nice, it works, Graham! Now, what is the easiest way to look up a word, such as RETURN, GENTILE, or NATIONS, etc? In my PC I can add the word right on the Bible Word Study page. (1) But in the iPhone, is there a place I can type a word, or do I have to open up my Bible and select it. (2) Also, in the PC I can change the Bible in Bible Word Study to the KJV but in the iPhone, how do I change it from the ESV default. So then, I have two questions about this great tool. Best, Gregorio

There should be a text box at the top-right of the BWS screen into which you can type a word you want to study. There is on the iPad anyway and I assume there will be on the iPhone.

in terms of changing the Bible, the BWS seems to use the Bible from which you selected the word. I don't believe there is the option to change it from within the BWS panel itself.
