New Laptop specs and Logos 5?

Hi everybody,

I've read the minimum requirements FAQ for Logos 5, but I was considering buying a new laptop to run Logos 5. What type of performance can I expect? Will it be laggy and slow?

Windows 7 Home Premium

Intel Core i5-3210M Processor (3rd gen)

Intel HD 4000 Graphics

4 GB DDR3 RAM

320GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm

I'm running L5 on Windows 8 w/ a very similar i5 processor, 4 meg of RAM and a 7200 rpm drive. I do have a small SSD to buffer the HD which may make a difference. I came over from a 2012 MacBook Pro w/ 8 gig of RAM. I expected to see some deterioration in the step from 8 to 4 gig of RAM but I'm quite satisfied with the speed of L5. I often work with L5, BibleWorks and Evernote open. Its very responsive.

If you have a more than a few apps open at a time you might want to consider 8 GB of RAM. My laptop with 8 GB runs Logos much more smoothly than my desktop with 4 GB. When I have several apps open with Logos I notice a lot of HD thrashing on the 4 GB desktop, this never happen on the 8 GB laptop.

I have a slower i5 with 4 GB RAM and even with a slower HDD than yours it was fine; some lag but not slow with 3 or 4 other programs running (browser, text editor, mail, etc ).
