I share this information for you Americans on these forums regarding the magnificent postal service that you are rumoured to be blessed with!  The mail must go through the world has heard!    No matter what!  *smile*   Indeed!    Pony Express or modern mail.  Even though it might have to go through a blizzard or a "Colorado Low," weather advisory or whatever.

(In Canada we use sled dogs, eh??!!!)

Every year my wife and I get a Christmas Card from the gentleman who delivers our daily morning newspaper.  I sort of think he is "fishing" for a tip at Christmas ....         so we oblige him with a Twenty.

Those of you who are interested in the Perseus Collection, interested in the Greek Language, and perhaps interested in history might appreciate this -- our note to our newspaper man ...       at least I hope so!            Peace to all!    And Joy!

Dear Don,

Christmas Blessings to you and your family!   Christmas for us is Celebrating the Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ – our Saviour from sin and the one who makes Abundant and Eternal Life possible!

Don, I’m repeating a couple of thoughts I shared with you a couple of years ago!

We don’t know who you are, really.  Young or not so young?  Tall, short?  Whatever!  We have never met, eh???  You come so early in the morning, usually before we even get up!  A morning paper is great!  Coffee and the news!             Great combination.

However!  We do know that you are extremely efficient in delivering our Beloved Toronto Star every day.  We are very appreciative of the Star and look forward to daily perusing it.  And!  We appreciate your faithful services to us on good days and some not-so-good-at-all days.  Yet!  We get the Star every day, and we are grateful.  Your services to us, I am sure, are not always easy and/or convenient.

Thank you for your lovely Christmas card.  Much appreciated.  With this card you will find a little token of our appreciation.  After I sign off, I have enclosed for your interest some information from a certain Bill Casselman whose writings I found on the internet.  He refers to the “through thick and thin” slogan of the U.S. Postal Service, but some of the thoughts could apply to your delivery of the Star.

Sincerely yours,

M.C. and L.J. Murray

Nice, but he uses the verbal form (prophesy) when he should have used the nominal form (prophecy).

BTW:  You will find some disagreement regarding the Postal Service, but I've usually found it to work pretty well.  [Now if they could only balance the books]

Peace and Joy in the Lord, Keep Smiling!              Thanks for that magnificent search!               I am quite impressed!

and, George!           *smile*              Blessings to you!

Would you believe that in Canada the Postal Service is a Crown Corporation; and we don't even get mail on Saturdays?    Actually that doesn't bother me very much, since there's less mail to answer over the weekend!                   *smile*
