Classic Commentaries on Peter and Jude

I got the following email recently. Does anyone know why they pulled this book?

You are receiving this email because you placed a Community Pricing bid on, or a Pre-Pub order for, Classic Commentaries and Studies on the Epistles of Peter and Jude.

Logos will probably give us an answer, but it must be that they discovered this text (or the one they used) was not in the public domain. I can't find a reference to it online.

The discount would be a lot more ($5.77) for those that did not get the CP price.

It's $149.95 on pre-pub.

That may be the sticking point, though I think they only claim to own the work of typing the book into digital format. The book itself is probably still PD. Just surmising... [:^)]

Whyndell, thanks for finding that source! I made a cursory search but didn't want to get too invested. What I find interesting is that the book was published in 1658, so it seems like it should be in the public domain, yet Logos has said, "we cannot include the following book in the collection." They make it sound like they don't have permission. I suppose they could mean something else, e.g., "We cannot get a good, reliable and full source for this book." Whatever the reason, it would be nice for them to mention instead of having us dream up some UK or UMich mafia "encouraging" Logos not to publish this book.

That's some nice software you got there...it'd be a shame if something were to happen to it...capische?

Wouldn't you know it...This is the commentary that the Geneva Series uses and probably the best.[:(]
