Upgrade from Logos 4 to Logos 5

I am thinking of upgrading from Logos 4 Silver to Logos 5 Gold for Windows computer. I am very, very reliant on my Logos and cannot have any issues. Does anyone have any reason for why I should not do this now? I absolutely need it to work and would rather wait if there are any bug issues that may cause problems with using, like crashing, ets.
Of have there been no issues and the upgrade is pretty transparent, and it is ok to do now.
Thanks,
Steve

Hello Stephen,
I made that same upgrade a few weeks ago and have had no issues. L5 has worked better for me than L4 and it was great. Good luck.

There have been crashes on both Mac and Windows versions but the Mac crashes are more persistent. I would say not to wait as upgrade discounts may finish soon.

If you only have one installation of L4 you can create another (Windows) User Account and install another Logos 4 there (prepare for a big download). After doing this (or if you already have multiple installations) set "Automatically download updates" to NO for one installation and that will be your backup. Then let the other installation upgrade to Logos 5 (3 to 4 GB).

I am on the verge of upgrading from the L4 Leaders Library to L5 Bronze. Although I was concerned about the continuation of "issues" in L5 that were experienced in L4 it seems that those may be out there but they are significantly fewer therefore I plan on "pulling the trigger" on L5 on Jan 2 (when new book money becomes available). However, I use the HCSB as my main translation and research has found that the HCSB was supposed to be available in a "tagged" version. This info was posted a LONG TIME ago and yet I have seen no other word on it. Other software platforms have it so I know it is out there but when will it arrive in Logos is the question? I am certainly not the only one that uses this translation nor am I the only one that would benefit from a "tagged" (interlinear?) version. Can anyone shed some additional light on this? Thanks.

I have that translation in my L5 library and it is not tagged. You would pretty much have to use it side by side with one of the tagged versions.

This same qusetion was asked recently in another thread without a real answer given.

Yes. One post suggested that the platform that had it was also owned by copyright owners of HCSB -- that they had given "their" company first crack at it.
All that I have seen from Lgos was "as soon as possible" we will do it/have it etc.
Sorry, not much help.

I know Accordance has it which may be the "first crack" people. I also think Olive Tree has it. I would like it in Logos. The "official" position of Logos if I remember correctly was that they would have it!
