Hodie Christus natus est.
Today Christ is born.
This is the greatest Christmas composition of the 20th century. It is my favorite oratorio only giving way to Handel's Messiah. Turn up the volume since some parts are extremely sof (while others are very loud). No Christmas season is complete without it. Unfortunately, the recording is showing its age and I don't expect Sir David Wilcocks, John Shirley-Quirk and Dame Janet Baker to reprise it since they are getting a bit long in the tooth themselves. I don't know why this doesn't get as much attention as it deserves. I hope you enjoy it even half as much as I do. If you have auto-play on, it will proceed through the parts.
