Today I was reading Moran, W. L. (1992). The Amarna letters (English-language ed.). Baltimore: Johns Hopkins University Press. At one point the text is:
[S]ay [to … ] …, [the
ruler of … ] … :1 Thus the king.
First I did read "Slay" instead of "Say".
Then a thought came into my mind, could the text use gray for the brackets and perhaps for other signs?
Like this:
[S]ay [to
… ]
…, [the ruler of … ] … :1 Thus the king.
Or someone may come up with better and/or further ideas?
This is a "Nice to have" suggestion, no particular urgency
