Kindle Paperwhite with Logos App?

Does anyone know if the logos app will work on the kindle paperwhite? I know it works on the kindle fire but I'm not sure if they both have access to the andriod store (if anyone has any info about that it would be helpful too). If the app can be installed on the paper white, the only other thing I'm worried about is memory. Does anyone know if the 2GB of memory on the paperwhite is sufficient for the Logos app? Anyone have a paper white that can comment on this?
Thanks all!

No it will not work. The little bit of OS on the Paperwhite is stripped down to be only the Kindle app with a experimental web browser.

There are several sub $100.00 Android tablets out there that would cover your needs well.
Take a look at some of the major online electronic retailers (CompUSA, Newegg, Buy, etc...), and you should find something with good reviews.

The Kindle Paperwhite is not really a tablet, but more a dedicated E-book Reader. While it has the experimental browser, you'd be reading books in a browser through things like Logos Biblia or a google books web page. Amazon's tablet offering would be the Kindle Fire. Otherwise as Paul says your best bet would be an Android tablet of some kind.

Maybe Logos will one day bless us with a line of "christian" tablets... <begin dream sequence> An eInk and regular tablet with your choice of Faithlife or Logos Bible. They could contract out the hardware like Amazon does. They could team up with biblicaltraining.org, oneplace.com, and christianaudio.com for additional content. It would surely find traction if sold in christian bookstores, modern mega-churches. It would be a great hook to get people buying Logos/Vyrso content... If they ever fix the mobile store. It's pretty lousy. Usability overall is not great for your average person (send your avg someone a link to the Faithlife app, and see if you don't get back a million questions on how to use it). I love Logos, but they don't do usability well sometimes.
I love Logos on my Nexus, but I'd also love to have Logos on eInk: nothing out there is as easy on the eyes for long periods of reading.

That would be awesome [Y]
But who knows, there may come a time in the not to distant future where eInk and high resolution color will exist on the same display simultaneously.

Breaking news:
Acer announced today that they will be releasing a $99.00 7" tablet to directly compete with the Nexus 7 and the Kindle Fire HD

I'm not as sure about the nexus tablets
The Nexus comes highly recommended by the Logos staff. And steve clark has put together a help file for it.

I would be more than happy to have biblia.com have a read version of a book. Select book and it shows text only with page scrolling, no side nav just an exit button. It would not be that hard to do. I like the paperwhite display because I can read it at night and outside in the sun. Any other tablet you wont be able to read it.

Tom - I dont have any Kindle devices ... I have heard other users mention an "experimental" browser on some older Kindle's... Does the paperwhite have that? Can it be rooted to do that?

I just checked the Amazon website and the Paperwhite is supposed to have the experimental browser built in. Does Biblia.com not work?

Biblia.com works just fine on the experimental browser. There's limited functionality -- no highlighting, scrolling rather than page turning -- and you need wi-fi access, which drains the battery. But as a pure reader it's ok.

If you mosey on over to the XDA Developers forum, you will find that it's possible to root a Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight (just as good as the Paperwhite). And yes, you can run some apps on it. The problem there is that the Nook runs an older version of Android, 2.1 (known as Éclair). You can run Logos, but it needs to be an older version of the app. And some resources won't be compatible with Éclair. I tried rooting a Simple Touch (unlit) and was able to read some Logos resources in eInk. But others weren't compatible.

Tried it last night and screenshots are allowed for on the paperwhite. There are directions at wikihow:

Upgraded recently from a Kindle Touch to the Paperwhite. Terrific product for reading. While the experimental web browser is functional, I would not buy any Kindle e-reader expecting to use the browser feature; it is just too limiting and slow. A tablet is the only practical solution if one wants Logos on something more portable than a laptop/desktop.

The mobile app works on iOS and Android. The Kindle Fire series runs a modified version of Android, and the apps are available. The Kindle Paperwhite (which I love) is not a tablet, but an eInk reader. The only thing that might possibly run on it would be the web app... but I would think the experience would be less than desirable.
There are methods of converting and sending books from Logos to your paper white (It's not too difficult) but those are not supported features of Logos. If there was a book you wanted to read cover to cover on a paper white, you could make it work just fine.
