For anyone interested in Ancient Mesopotamia:
A. Leo Oppenheim's classic book "Ancient Mesopotamia: Portrait of a Dead Civilization" has been made available as a free pdf download on the website of the University of Chicago.
Sounds interesting, but I cannot find anything on that page where to actually download the pdf.
We cannot distribute via the forums,

(maybe someone can contact them and explain the PBB and see it they will make an exemption) but the resources are very interesting. Cannot find a way to download the Pdf file either.

It is a rough scan of the book, but nice to skim to get a general idea
Thanks George.
Here are the steps to get the free publications in pdf format.
1. Look for what you are interested in. http://oi.uchicago.edu/research/pubs/catalog/misc/
2. Run a search from here. http://oi.uchicago.edu/
3. Look for the pdf file.
They just answered my question on facebook. Select the red arrow next to terms of use. Made a request for them to allow us to share the word file for PBB.
You're correct. I had forgotten about OI's little idiosyncracy. After downloading all the volumes of the Chicago Assyrian Dictionary, you would think that would have come to mind. Sometimes I'm not very bright.
Sometimes I'm not very bright.
Maybe (I do doubt it) ... but in the Lord, you are a light in your loafers
If you are interested in having these documents in word to build a PBB and share on the forums, then send an emal to oi-museu at uchicago dot edu..
Their facebook page has responded that they will see that it goes to the appropriate department.
Bump
Still encouraging others to join the campaign. Downloaded many of the pdfs, but would be good to make a PB for Logos. Write and ask them.
