Layouts

PTL!!!

I've over a dozen different layouts that I work from and they're all different in many ways, though similar in others. But I've a problem, for at times I will leave one open having walked away for several hours to take care of business and upon returning have no idea of which of these I've open. My studies and reading run the gambit, so I switch between them constantly. Is there any way of easily finding out exactly which one is open???

In the current beta of Logos 5 the title of the current layout is in the title box. In fact when you open it up after closing Logos 5 the name of the last layout remains there so you see where you left off.

If you look at the top of the screenshot you will see Read the Fathers that's the name of the layout.

The Layout menu also has a check mark next the name of either the open or last opened layout.

YES! Itworks quite nicely, very helpful.

Unfortunately, the rest of that beta release has been rather unstable, so I chose to totally remove it.

But after seeing (and using) that feature, I too am looking forward to it, (again).

I clicked on "edit" up at the top of the Forum page near my (screen) name.

I forget how far in it is, but you can customize much of your appearance and other items.

[I will look there next to refresh my memory. It has been awhile since I did this.]

EDIT: After clicking on "Edit" then Choose "Site option" button to add this type of material.

Thanks Steve, now I have it.

I use the layouts quite a lot, also floating windows, and in Logos4 the floating windows tended to crash, but Logos5 seems to be more stable.

It will be great to know which layout I am using.

Also it is great to know about the "edit" button. I had not noticed that before.

In addition to the information Philana provided, Control-Option-L (Mac) or Control-Alt-L (windows) will update the Active Layout to the current snapshot.

Oh, I like that. On occasion I have right clicked on the wrong layout and I had to go back in history to find the right one. This new feature should help prevent that error.
