Indexer at stuck at 0%

For some reason my library will not index. It has been stuck at 0% for a couple hours. It was indexing fine last night, but I had to shut my computer down before it finished and when I turned my computer on this morning the indexer would not work. I have paused and restarted indexing and I have rebooted my computer several times, but it will not get beyond 0%.

I have Windows Vista.

The Indexer log indicates the last thing it was doing was merging indexes. It ends doing that. I can't be sure if the last time stamp is from when you pulled the log, or when you forced the indexer to quit. It only records 9 minutes from start to end though. Did you pull the log prior to the indexer having run for two hours? The easiest thing may be to let it re-index. You can do this by typing "rebuild index" in your command bar and when you see that pop up under the word "Tools" (under where you typed) click it. That will initiate a complete re-index.

The Logos log on the other hand indicates Logos crashed at 10:01. This typically wont cause the indexer to crash, but I'm wonder if you noticed that it had crsahed or that it and the indexer had crashed around the same time?

Thanks for the reply.

After leaving my computer on for another hour or so, checked it and the icon indicating that my computer was indexing was gone. I'm assuming that it completed its index.

I pulled my log right before I post on the forum.

I don't know when the indexer crashed, it just seemed to be stuck on 0% starting in the morning (6AM) when I first turned my computer on.

Even though everything seems to be working I am posting my logs again in case there is anything that may be helpful.

I don't know how often Logos creates the log files, but all I have done to get them is copy them from the Logos Log Files folder. Is this the correct way to post logs or is there something I need to do to make sure they are the most recent ones?

When diagnostic logging is enabled, each time Logos is launched, Logos.log and LogosIndexer.log files are overwritten. If Logos crashes, need to compress files before launching Logos. Some error information is appended to LogosError.log file when an error happens.

LogosIndexer.log file shows indexing complete.

LogosError.log file has an error "Unable to cast object of type 'Libronix.DataTypes.Bible.BibleReferencePoint' to type 'Libronix.DataTypes.Bible.BibleReferenceRange'."

Thanks for your comment on rebuilding the indexer. My indexer kept stopping at 3% and I thought your idea might work, and it did! Thanks so much!
