Problems with 2.2.8

The ap keeps crashing on my phone. Two different error messages have come up:

Sorry! Activity read (in application Bible) is not responding. Force close/wait.

Sorry! The application Bible (processcom.logos.androidlogos) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close.

This happens repeatedly since the 2.2.8 update. The only way to reliably read a resource is to turn off the internet connection on my phone.

It's a T-Mobile G2 phone, 2 years old. Is my phone too old for this ap? Is it because the Logos servers have been overwhelmed the last couple of weeks? I do have a large library (8000+).

Anyone else having this problem?

Large library shouldn't be the problem. You have Android v 2.2?

If you reading a resource not downloaded to the phone it may be the internet connection. Were you using a home wireless connection or a data (2G/3G) connection?  It may have been an intermittent problem with Logos Server or your ISP - is it still a problem?

Thanks Dave for confirming it's not the large library. I have Android v.2.3.4. It does happen with resources that are downloaded to the phone, and does not happen if I turn off the internet connection. I use T-Mobile's 4G wireless internet. It is still happening. I went to Tools and tried to open History and got the first error message.

Haven't tried switching from T-Mobile to my home wireless - will try that and see if it makes a difference.

Edit: Nope, that didn't help, still got the same error message.
