Any good books in Logos with articles about the Keswick Convention?
I want to know if D L Moody went to the first Keswick Convention at Keswick or was he just in England at time period.
Primary sources would be good.
Thanks

If you go to logos.com and type "Keswick" into the search box it will return Naselli's book at the top of the list.

Naselli is no fan of Keswick/Holiness/Weslyan/Pentecostal/Dallas versions of Sanctification and advocates a Reformed view. However, it is a well researched and fairly presented analysis. He does include a detailed, historical review of the movement which, as I recall, will answer your question re: Moody.
Interestingly Andrew David Naselli is research manager for D A Carson.
D A Carson has preached at the modern day Keswick convention, which would suggest the theology of Keswick these days is more sound than in the past?[;)]
Thanks for the link
Peace to all! *smile*
Also, of great interest, is the involvement of Logos Bible Software over against the publication of this book, an extremely engaging book! *smile*

1875 REVIVAL IS SPARKED AT THE FIRST KESWICK CONVENTION
In 1875, at the end of American evangelist Dwight L. Moody’s (1837–1899) two-year evangelistic tour of England, the vicar of Keswick, a town in England’s Lake District, invited him to speak there. God used Moody to spark a revival in Keswick that birthed the annual summer Keswick Convention, a nondenominational gathering of evangelicals that continues there today. The hallmarks of Keswick are prayer, Bible study, and dependence on the Holy Spirit. Thousands have been called into ministry and missions at the Keswick Convention.
Thanks for your question.
E. Michael, & Rusten, S. (2005). The complete book of when & where in the Bible and throughout history (386–388). Wheaton, IL: Tyndale House Publishers, Inc.
I learned a lot from this history and examination of the Keswick doctrines (which have influenced a lot of modern Christianity).

Thanks for helping me "discover" a book in my library that I didn't know was there! Also! I saw the value of the Logos Timeline Tool over against the modern (?) era! *smile*
Actually, if you go to Logos webpage for Naselli's book and click on the
link, and then scroll down a ways, you can find part of his discussion about Moody and Keswick.
One of these surely is http://www.logos.com/product/16625/five-views-on-sanctification where the Keswick position is explained by J. Robertson McQuilkin (and the various responses all assure that there are only marginal differences)
I found interesting the methodist booklet http://www.logos.com/product/17560/holiness-for-the-real-world where "The Keswick Way" is briefly presented as a non-methodist-but-held-by-many-in-holiness-denominations position on sanctification, and D.L. Moody is mentioned as a prime example (along McQuilkin). Naselli seems to claim the reverse in the look-into excerpts - but these labels seem to be tricky anyway, e.g. Phoebe Palmer is listed here as an example of the methodist "Shorter Way" on the other side of the methodist spectrum, whereas the entry on "Holiness" in the New Dictionary of Theology has her as an exponent of Keswick Holiness.

Thanks for highlighting this resource for me! I just saw that this is contained in the Minimal Crossgrade (MC), and - coming from L5 Verbum Master - the MC was even lower for me that buying the book alone, thus I got this resource, the new edition of the Topical Text Book and a couple of Logos Bible Photos for less than ten Euros!
Yes, Grace and Peace brothers as we complete this year and enter another.
I would quote NB.Mick in this post also, but I don't know how to do this. Nevertheless, another resource worth doing a proximity search for e.g. Keswick WITHIN 7 words Moody, is Dictionary of Christianity in America http://www.logos.com/product/735/dictionary-of-christianity-in-america
This is a great "little" 1305pp resource.

Indeed ! This is a book I also didn't know I had. It looks as though it could be interesting for some purposes. Thank you for calling our attention to it.
To insert a quote which isn't in the post to which you are replying, copy the section and paste it into your post then prefix the quote with "
" and place "
That didn't work so well since it parses the elements and doesn't display them. Look at any post you are citing and follow its example.
Amen! *smile* Peace in 2013 and ForEver Through Our Lord Jesus!

I was thinking of asking the same question myself, and I stumbled upon the first resource mentioned as well. This is an area I wish to study further when I have some extra time.
