Logos 5 for iPad

I'm interested in completely replacing my Mac to just do all that I need to do between my iPad & iPhone. I'm really interested in purchasing Logos 5 but I want to be sure that I can get all of the features on my iPad without the need to connect it with a computer. Is this even possible? Anybody else doing something like this?

Logos iOS mobile apps lack a number of features in Logos 5. One option is running Logos 5 on a Mac Mini and using an iPad to remotely control the Mac Mini.

My favorite Logos 4 and Logos 5 feature is visual filter highlighting, which is currently not available in a Logos mobile app.

I think I understand your question... and the answer is no. The mobile app isn't L5 and doesn't have the same functionality. There are also functions which require an Internet connection.

If I read your question literally, then the answer is "yes." You never have to connect your iOS devices to a computer. Resources are streamed from the cloud. It sounds like you have an iPhone... The iPad app is the same as the iPhone one, with some minor UI differences. The functionality is the same.

For running Logos 5 on a lightweight device, a MacBook Air (MBA) is an option, which is similar to an iPad. Apple has reduced prices on refurbished 2011 MBA models => http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/mac/macbook_air

For Logos, recommend 4 GB or more RAM plus adequate SSD storage. Noticed a refurbished 13" MBA with 4 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD for $ 1,119 => http://store.apple.com/us/product/G0ME0LL/A/refurbished-macbook-air-18ghz-dual-core-intel-core-i7

Caveat: MBA battery life is a bit shorter than an iPad.
