Suggestion: Multiple user profies

I appreciate the layout options, and have quite a number set up. How about multiple user profiles that would allow further customisation? For example, if I am doing one kind of study, I could have a profile that has Hidden Resources set to be hidden only for that profile, specific collections that would only show, notes, etc. In fact, almost all user-created data could be set up to be present or not present in a specific profile.

I wear several hats in ministry; it might be nice to be able to configure Logos 5 to each one.

This would allow easy violation of the license agreement. Unfortunately, people can't be trusted. Chesterton said something about total depravity being the only theological construct for which we have empirical proof. He was right.

I think Logos is extremely generous to allow us unlimited installations on various devices for our own use. Allowing multiple user profiles would probably cost them tens of thousands of dollars.

While I understand and share your need, I doubt that Logos will give this priority as their model is 1 license = 1 person. However, that needn't mean that you should be able to come close to what you need. The primary problems making it difficult are (a) features that work only if you run a Search across your Entire Library and (b) only one set of priorities. Those are things Logos might well be willing to give priority.

Other than that:

if you group your library into series and sets of similar resources, you can then easily create "entire collection" collections for each hat
you can create separate Guides and Layouts for each hat
you can tag your documents with a hat identifier

If you use the same hat prefix for you entire library collection, Guides, layouts and documents, you can keep items sorted by hat. It's not a perfect solution but it does get you much of what you need. And it has the advantage of being (imperfectly) available now.

I still think what I'm proposing is doable with one user per licence. The software is still limited to two computers or devices, it's just that when signing in, the user (licensee) could choose a predefined layout. Perhaps what I meant to say is that the layout feature could be expanded to include which resources are hidden, which user-content is included, etc.

It's not a major issue, but thought it might work.

Actually it is not limited to 2 computers - a single user may use it on all their devices. It's not that what you want isn't doable or desirable - it is. But unless you can show on uservoice that it has strong support, it is unlikely to get a high priority which is why I offered a workaround.
