I am PC user (only) and I need mobil device to do these tasks. Is iPad4 cabable to do all these?

1. Reading books with frequent highlingting. Each book has its own note file (changing between note files?)

2. Two sources open simultaneously: typically book and bible or greek Bible and english Bible.

3. See bible references in books after taping (hoovering) the reference.

4. Taking notes and read notes separately of text (i.e. see list of all notes and read them)

5. Synchronize my highlits and notes with Full LOGOS 5 on PC (both directions).

6. Read greek  text and see morphology and translation (contextual Luow-nida translation) of words on demand (tap word? double tap?).

7. Add lemmas of greek words to Word list.

Additional questions:

8. Is stylus for IPad (capacitative with large rubber tip - only alternative i gues) able to make highlighting and pointing words or referencies precisely?

9. Batery endurance while using IPad4 solely for Logos app?

Thank you very much for answers and tips.

    Hi Pavel

Is iPad4 cabable to do all these?

I use an iPad 2 with the Logos app so my comments are from that context. The app works the same across the different versions (there are some things you can't do on the first iPad).

    1. Reading books with frequent highlingting. Each book has its own note file (changing between note files?)

Yes you can do this. You can add highlights and specify in which notesfile highlights are stored

    2. Two sources open simultaneously: typically book and bible or greek Bible and english Bible.

Yes, the app has a split screen capability which enables this

    3. See bible references in books after taping (hoovering) the reference.

This works fine. Tapping on a reference brings up the relevant verses in a popup window. You have the option of going from there to be actual translation (your preferred version is used) which can be in the other half of the split screen.

    4. Taking notes and read notes separately of text (i.e. see list of all notes and read them)

You can do this by opening the notesfile document itself.

    5. Synchronize my highlits and notes with Full LOGOS 5 on PC (both directions).

Yes this works fine - although some people have reported issues particularly with large notesfiles

    6. Read greek  text and see morphology and translation (contextual Luow-nida translation) of words on demand (tap word? double tap?).

You can get morphology and translation (not quite sure what you mean when you refer to contextual Louw-Nida translation here but L-N data is not displayed in the iPad app). Bible Word Study facilities are available but only when online

    7. Add lemmas of greek words to Word list.

Word Lists are not currently supported within the app

    Additional questions:

    8. Is stylus for IPad (capacitative with large rubber tip - only alternative i gues) able to make highlighting and pointing words or referencies precisely?

    9. Batery endurance while using IPad4 solely for Logos app?

These I will leave for others to comment on as I don't have a stylus and your 9th question is  iPad 4 specific.

    Hope this helps

    Graham

Thanks Graham very much for detailed answer. It seems to me, iPad could be solution satisfying my needs.

Moreover i found out it is possible to connect PC desktop via LogMeIn or another VNC type connection and use full feature logos [:)]

As for stylus: you wrote you don't have one - does it mean it is not necessary use it? ( e.g. Is highlightng of the text possible just with finger?)

A stylus isn't really needed for anything on the iPad… unless perhaps you were trying to draw in Photoshop. I have had an iPad for a couple of years now without a stylus. I did purchase a three pack for under $4 US… it is shipping from China and will take more than a month to get to me. [:D]

Yes, from what you describe I think it should give you what you are looking for.

Yes - there are a number of discussions in the forums of people doing that and finding it works well. It is not something which I personally do

As for stylus: you wrote you don't have one - does it mean it is not necessary use it? ( e.g. Is highlightng of the text possible just with finger?)

Yes, this is totally possible. You effectively press and hold on a word and then use "drag handles" to change the selection of text. This is using standard iOS capabilities
