Greek Interlinear Selection Possible?

Noticed this morning while in Mark 1:41 that the reverse interlinear displaying for the NASB and the ESV differ. Is there a way for us to select which Greek text we desire to display when interlinear is turned on? (FYI: specific textual issue that is the catalyst for my question is between the use of ὀργίζω vs. σπλαγχνίζομαι in the Greek texts. For what it is worth, I prefer the latter due to the manuscript support and other committee arguments. But I digress! I would like to have the NA27 or NA28 display if that is even possible.) Thank you for any insight into chosing a preferred interlinear. -Brian

I believe that the ESV NT is based on UBS GNT (4th edition) and NA27 while the NASB uses NA23 (in the 1971 version) and NA26 (in the 1995 revision).

I assume these are causing the differences which you see and are necessary to faithfully show the texts from which the different translations were derived. So it wouldn't be correct to allow different base texts to show as RIs.

It is, however, possible to have Greek texts open next to the translations (and to link them so they scroll together) so you can compare the English translation against multiple texts as required. For details of doing this please see http://wiki.logos.com/Linking_Resources

Thank you for your response. Yes your explaination of maintining the faithfulness to the Greek text used with the English translation is completely understood (and appreciated). Also, your solution to having a separate (preferred) Greek text open at the same time was also though of as a work-around. I was hoping (in my selfish world!) to have the best of both worlds with the Greek text of my choice along with the advantages of the interlinear data at the bottom of the English tranlsation tab (MSS, Lemma, Morph, Louw, Sense, etc.). Thank you again for taking the time to respond.

Used Logos 5.0b Beta 1 in full screen mode on OS X 10.8.2 to look at Mark 1:41 in some Greek and English resources with visual filter highlighting of Logos Greek Morphology plus Text Comparison. Also have an apparatus pop-up in the Lexham Greek New Testament: Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) Edition

Visual filters are combined in Mark 1:41 to highlight: aorist tense, passive voice, participle, singular voice for ὀργίζω , σπλαγχνίζομαι , and Moved. For participle, personally use an image with two curves above word for a reminder that a participle is a verbal adjective, which has verb and noun characteristics.

A reverse interlinear maps an English translation to a particular Greek (or Hebrew, or Aramaic) version. They are not swappable. The ESV NT uses its own underlying Greek text that differs from NA/UBS in over 100 places.

Most NTs in Logos that have reverse interlinears (exceptions: ESV, NLT, KJVs, NKJV) use a form of the SBLGNT.

Also, the "Information" panel, if you hover a word in a reverse interlinear or the Greek or Hebrew, will give you some more info. Here's what happens when I hover οργισθεις in Mk 1.41 in SBLGNT. It clues you in to how different English translations render this portion of this verse.
