Questions on logos 5 (mac)

I am a new logos user and have two questions.

I am using a macbook air and i have noticed that logos 5 runs very slow (there is a delay in executing commands). I do not note this in any other program that I run on the Macbook air. Does anyone know a fix?

In my Bible reading, if I want to underline, bold or highlight favorite verses and have the software save them in the Bible text itself, how do I do that?

Have no personal experience with MBA, but do know that L5 is very CPU & RAM intensive. Does your MBA have the horsepower to run L5 efficiently? Kevin Purcell has a MBA. Perhaps I can drop him a line and see if he can take a look at this thread.

I have a late 2010 MBA and don't notice this problem on mine. So sorry, I can't be of help. It seems totally random when and where Logos works well or works poorly. Worked great on my MBA and terribly on my MBPro. Since the v. 5 update all seems fine with both systems.

There have been some comments that spinning beach balls, etc. seem to be prevelient when running some searches etc using L.5 vs L.4. I am running 8 RAM and still have problems. From what I understand Logos is doing some upgrading in 'cocoa' to assist with memory management in Logos. Presently even if you exceed the recommended Mac requirements you may have problems:

If was shopping for a MacBook Air to run Logos 4 and/or Logos 5, would look at 2011 and 2012 models with 4 GB or more RAM plus adequate SSD storage size for all applications.

Please elaborate/describe what commands are experiencing delay. Wondering about MacBook Air usage pattern(s) ? e.g. computer sleep and network connection(s) ?

Logos 4 and Logos 5 have some default settings that are sluggish: e.g. default layout includes Passage Guide and Exegetical Guide with all sections expanded. A number of sections take awhile to populate so collapsing section(s) allows Guide(s) to open faster, then can choose section(s) to expand.
