How can we get the NASB in paragraph form for Logos? There are at least 2 other Bible software programs that have it, and you can buy it in book form as well.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Randy
Are you wanting to pay for an additional liscence to have this?
Yes, I am willing to pay for it. Do you have information on something in the works?
Do you have information on something in the works?
Unfortunately, no.
It is my understanding that the NASB comes from the translators in a line by line format, and that is how they desire it to be published... but there is at least one publisher (Zondervan) who has made one in paragraph form. I have never heard anything from Logos on this subject, but I would assume that a paragraph version would require a separate license from Zondervan.
The Lockman Foundation is the one who holds the copyright for the NASB. From having formatted the book in the past for WORDsearch, I know that the Lockman does indeed have the paragraph formatting. For whatever reason, Logos has chosen not to do it this way (due to publishers request? i don't know). But, do note that the bolded verse numbers in the Logos edition do coincide with the beginning of a new paragraph.
Thanks for clarifying LaRosa!

The NASB 1977 was not available in Logos and then Lockman allowed Logos to sell it again. I purchased it in September 2010. It was available for awhile, but I guess they pulled the license. I wonder what happened?
NASB is still available. Try this link.

Does this version have an RI or not?
No it does not...
Hello all! I have been in talks with Lockman about the paragraph version of the NASB. Here's the latest.
Per Lockman: "Logos has now been contacted and they are looking into the technical changes needed to allow the NASB to switch between verse and paragraph format in their system."
Thats good news its one reason I use nasb77
With corresponding hilites u really don't need RI
I don't understand - for corresponding highlights in English translation, RIs are required.
What am i missing?
To be open on scree, have not used ri in a long time- was never a real fan of it. Actually perfer a popup with info.
Send me an email.
