iOS vs Android differences

I have a Nexus 7 at the moment, but I have been given the opportunity to swap it for an iPad Mini. Putting aside the difference in hardware, does the Logos Bible iOS have any significant feature improvements over the Android version?

I moved over from OliveTrees BibleReader and absolutely love the Resource Guide feature for iOS and Android. You get a listing of all relevant passages from other resources - including your notes - when you highlight a particular passage in a Bible. You can then select which one you want. I do not see an equivalent feature in Logos Android. Perhaps it is in the iOS version. Of course OliveTree does not have the wealth of resoruces that Logos has, that's why I am using Logos.

The equivalent of Olive Tree's Resource Guide is the Passage Guide in Logos, which can be accessed from the search pane in the Logos Android app. Or, you can get to it via an upward swipe while in a bible/commentary.

Also, the iOS version of the Logos app is much further along than the Android app; although Android is quickly getting feature parity.

As for your thread about notes, you can access these in the iOS app, but not currently on Android.

One note about Logos Passage Guide, it requires internet connection to function (be it wifi or cellular).

Android app was started later and will need another year or so to catch up with iOS in features.

Evidence gathered over the last few weeks suggest very very strongly that Samsung will soon bring out a 7 inch version of the Galaxy Note, which size wise about the same as the Apple iPad mini. I have the original Note and a first gen iPad. My love forthe Note is the S-Pen stylus. Using the stylus to select passages for highlighting and clicking on those links/buttons/tc that fingers and iPad styli are just too big for is a big advantage to me. If I wererot replace my iPad today, the 10 inch Note would get the nod hands down, even though the display does not match the new iPad retina displays. Try the Note and see if you maybe want to wait for the 7 inh version of it rather than the iPad mini.

I have the Android version of Logos and also OliveTree. In the OliveTree guide you have several tabs you can access that all work (charts, maps, commentaries,cross references etc). Logos has far fewer choices and some of them don't yet work such as the topics section. I would love to have the topics section working and have mentioned this section not working in a couple posts but there has been no comment on this. Logos does have a much better search capacity than OliveTree. Does anyone know anything about whether the topics section is being worked on in the passage guide?
