Notes in Android

Is there a way that I can get a listing of all my self-created notes in the Android version of Logos Bible? I can see them individually when I encounter them in a Bible verse, but no way of seeing a listing. Unless I am missing something of course.

Can anyone assist?

That functionality has yet to be implemented for Android.

THIS IS A NECESSARY FEATURE!! How can we use our notes laterif we can't remember where they are???? . Can't searh for them, can't see them under favorites menu, this is a FATAL ERROR in this wonderful bible study app.   Please don't read this as un-greatful, just passionate about my bible study in Logos! :-)

It is a key piece of functionality and one which is already implemented on the iOS platform and will be coming on the Android platform. It's all about patience I think. I cannot imagine it will be too much longer.

I would think that efforts would be doubled, what with 42 million Android devices being activated in December of last year, every minute delayed is money lost.

Here is one more vote for a speedy implementation of full Logos Notes in Android!!!

I hate to do so, but right now, I actually use Kindle for reading and research of some books simply because once I add notes, I can search them and review them....  Id rather do all of that in my absolute favorite Bible Study program- Logos.... but I cant.... sigh

    Hi Richard,

As previously mentioned by LaRosa Johnson, this feature is not yet implemented in our Android apps.  We hope to implement the feature soon.

    Hi Jordan,

We are grateful for your patience.  The lack of a Notes Document feature in Android isn't something we consider to be a fatal error - otherwise we would never have released the app to begin with - I hope you understand that this is a work in progress just like any other software app.  Depending on who you ask, I'm sure there are scores of fatal errors with our mobile apps (and desktop apps too!) but our Android and iOS mobile apps are free.  We are trying to implement features as quickly as possible.  Again, thanks for your patience with us!

  • Considering that we pay the same amount of money as the apple users we should have the same features available or at least make it clear before people buy it. I was creating a message for this Thursday and I was hoping to use the notes I'm creating with my tablet. Frustrating to know that we don't get the same service as other users of your software.

    Hi Jose,

I apologize that the free iOS app has more features than the free Android app.  However, keep in mind that both are free and Logos isn't forcing you to download and use them.  I'll look into creating a page that shows the feature differences between the two.

Logos for iOS released 18 months before the first alpha version of Logos for Android, and we've tried hard to catch up on the Android side.  I apologize that we're not quite there yet.  We can't directly port the code from iOS to Android since they use entirely different code bases.  Our intent is to keep working to make sure that our Android apps eventually support all the features available on iOS.

Similar to Logos on the Desktop, the Windows version was shipping long before the Mac version existed, and it takes a lot of work to achieve feature parity across platforms.  Instead of holding back the Mac version of Logos until it was 100% feature complete with the Windows version, we released it anyway knowing that not all of the same features were (yet) supported.  If we had held the Mac release back until it supported everything the Windows version did, there would have been a lot of unhappy Mac customers.  In short, I hope that there is at least one feature in the Android app that you find useful.

I for one have found the android app incredibly useful. I do however look for the day when notes are editable. Thanks for a great app! Keep up the good work!

  • Stumbled across this forum while looking for answers as to why I couldn't see notes I had made from Logos on my PC on my Android mobile device. I noticed this thread is a few months old. Is there any word on how this functionality for Android is progressing and when an update should be expected?

Though I wouldn't call it a "fatal flaw" this is of significant importance. It is simpler to navigate Logos and write sermons on the PC but to actually preach from the notes on my Android tablet. (This is one of the reasons I purchased a tablet in the first place, so it was a little upsetting to find that this function was not available).

I hope all is well and that progress is being made as swiftly as possible.

    Much thanks!
